The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 allows a community group to make an asset transfer request to the Council - or another public body to buy or lease any land or buildings that the Council owns. To make a request, the community group will have to say what they want to do and how having the asset will be good for their community. 

The Council has a process for asset transfers.
